The camshaft gear removal tool for the 4.9L engine is incorrectly illustrated in the 1984 and 1985 Shop Manuals. The gear used is of a phenolic material
and requires the special service tool. The correct camshaft gear removal tool is part number T82T-6256-A and is shown in Figure 38.
