2. Loosen nuts ``A'' and ``B,'' and position shift levers in neutral detents.
3. Torque nuts ``A'' and ``B'' to 12-18 ft lbs, ensuring there is no movement between stud and nut.
4. Remove gauge pin and check linkage for proper operation.
NOTE: Retaining rings and insulators must be replaced when adjusting transmission linkage. The rings and plastic grommets where shift rods are
attached must also be replaced if excessive wear or looseness is observed.
