Removal and Installation
CAUTION: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of
the power steering components may result.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Using a suitable suction device, drain the power steering fluid reservoir.
3. Remove the power steering pump pulley.
4. NOTE: Thoroughly clean all foreign material from the threads.
Disconnect the power steering pressure line-to-pump fitting.

To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.)
5. Unclip the power steering pressure line from the pressure line bracket.
6. NOTE: Thoroughly clean all foreign material from the fitting threads.
Disconnect the power steering pressure line-to-steering gear fitting.

To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill the power steering system.
