Removal
Vehicles with 6.0L engine
1. Remove the engine cooling fan. For additional information, refer to Cooling System.
All vehicles
2. Rotate the tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt from the power steering pump pulley.
3. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
4. If equipped, remove the deflector shield.
5. Using the special tool, remove the pulley.

Inspect the pulley for paint marks in the web area near the hub. If there are 2 paint marks, install a new pulley. If there is no paint mark, use a
paint pencil to mark the web area of the pulley near the hub. If there is one paint mark, use a paint pencil to place a second paint mark near the
first paint mark.
