Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
^
To install, tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
5. Remove and discard the drag link cotter pin and nut.
^
To install, tighten to 92 Nm (68 ft. lbs.)
6. Using the special tool, separate the drag link.
7. Remove the 3 steering gear-to-frame bolts and the gear.
^
To install, tighten to 165 Nm (122 ft. lbs.)
8. Secure the steering gear in a vise and remove the steering gear sector shaft arm nut and lockwasher.
^
To install, tighten to 270 Nm (199 ft. lbs.)
9. Using the special tool, remove the steering gear sector shaft arm.
10. NOTE: When connecting a fitting with an O-ring seal, a new seal must be installed.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^
Install new O-ring seals on the power steering line fittings.
^
Fill and leak check the system.
