Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor

Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor

Removal 

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor electrical connector.

3. NOTE:  Prior to removing the speed sensor, make sure that the area around the sensor is free of foreign material to prevent contamination of the

transmission.

Remove the OSS sensor.

Remove the bolt.

Remove the OSS sensor.

Installation 

1. Install the OSS sensor.

Lubricate the O-ring and install the OSS sensor.

Install the bolt.

Tighten to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.)

2. Connect the OSS sensor electrical connector.
