ISSUE
Some 2004 6.0L E350/450 vehicles, and 2005 6.0L E350 vehicles built before 9/2/2004, may exhibit a P0401 DTC with or without the malfunction
indicator lamp (MIL) illuminated.
ACTION
Reprogram the PCM and TCM to the latest calibration level using WDS release B33.4 or higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website. If
fault code is present after reprogramming follow normal diagnostic procedures.
