6. NOTE: This step must be performed if the vehicle is equipped with an auxiliary A/C-heater system.
Disconnect the quick disconnect heater water hose couplings from the heater water hoses. Refer to Couplings - Quick Disconnect Heater Water
Hose in the Removal and Installation portion.
7. Remove the heater water hoses.
INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

REMOVAL
1. Depressurize the engine cooling system.
WARNING: THE ENGINE MUST BE OFF, FULLY COOL AND THE COOLING SYSTEM FULLY DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE
ATTEMPTING TO DISCONNECT ANY HEATER WATER HOSES. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS WARNING CAN
RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR BURNS FROM HOT LIQUID ESCAPING OUT OF THE ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM.
2. Push the heater water hose toward the tube to fully expose the locking tabs.
3. Push the Heater Hose Disconnect Tool over the coupling retainer windows to compress the retainer locking tabs.
NOTE: When compressing the white coupling retainer, the Heater Hose Disconnect Tool must be perpendicular to and on the highest point of the
coupling.
