15. Remove the A/C evaporator core.
a. Remove the seal.
b. Remove the A/C evaporator core.
CAUTION: Use care not to damage the cooling fins while handling the A/C evaporator core.
INSTALLATION
1. Add new, clean Motorcraft refrigerant oil YN-12b or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B.
NOTE: Whenever replacing an A/C system component or refrigerant line, new, clean refrigerant oil MUST be added.
2. Install the A/C evaporator core.
a. Install the A/C evaporator core.
b. Install the seal.
CAUTION: Use care not to damage the cooling fins while handling the A/C evaporator core.
3. Install the evaporator cover.
a. Install the evaporator cover.
b. Install the five screws.
c. Install the six screws.
4. Install the evaporator case support bracket.
a. Install the evaporator case support bracket.
b. Install the two screws.
NOTE: The evaporator case support bracket cannot be seen from the top of the evaporator case.
5. Replace the suction accumulator/drier.
