Brake Bleeding: Service and Repair
Important Information
WARNING: To prevent loss of braking efficiency caused by air entering the hydraulic system, always bleed the system whenever a brake
fitting has been opened or the reservoir level has dropped enough to allow air to enter the system.
RABS
Vehicles equipped with the Rear ABS (RABS) require only a conventional brake system bleed.
4WABS
Vehicles equipped with the 4-Wheel ABS (4WABS) also require bleeding the Electro-Hydraulic Control Unit (EHCU) in addition to the hydraulic
system bleed procedures.
