Mount the compensator within the hose lengths provided and with the brown and green vacuum switch towers pointing up (See Figure 1).

Mount the compensator in a way that places the aneroid (round cylinderical device inside of the bracket) centerline as nearly parallel to the ground
as possible.

Locate as far away from heat sources as possible.
If you encounter difficulties not anticipated in these instructions, contact the closest Ford Parts and Service Division District Office for assistance.

ALTITUDE COMPENSATOR KIT INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
NOTE:
This kit is designed to be used with other modification kits and should not be used alone. Consult your basic modification kit instructions to
determine if this kit is required on the vehicle you are servicing.
1.
Remove the interior engine cover for accessibility to the engine.
2.
Remove the air cleaner.
3.
Remove the right side battery for access to the right fender apron.
