Oil Cooler: Service and Repair
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cables, then drain cooling system.
2. Remove fan shroud, the fan and clutch assembly.
NOTE: The clutch fan retaining nut has lefthand threads.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
4. Remove the front oil cooler assembly bolts.
5. Remove the drive belt.
6. Raise and support vehicle.
7. Drain engine oil and remove oil filter. Do not reinstall drain plug.

8. Remove rear oil cooler attaching bolts and the oil cooler, Fig. 18.
9. Reinstall drain plug then reverse procedure to install.
