4. Locate the PCM part number, record the number on the repair order and compare to the chart.
5. If the PCM part number is listed on the PCM Part Number chart, proceed to the Service Procedure. If the PCM part number is not listed on the PCM
Part Number chart, no further action is required.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
NOTE:
Loss of or inadequate battery voltage during the recalibration process will cause a recalibration failure and require the PCM to be restored using an
IDS and repeating this procedure.
1. Make sure that the batteries are fully charged (at least 12 volts) and all accessories (radio, interior fan, headlights, etc.) are switched off. It is strongly
recommended that the vehicle be connected to a battery charger during the recalibration process to avoid potential low-voltage issues.
2. With the IDS still connected, return to the main menu by selecting the vehicle identification tab at the lower left of the screen.
3. Select the Tool Box tab.
4. Select Module Programming and touch the tick.
5. Select Module Programming again and then select PCM. Touch the tick.
6. A screen will appear stating a later PCM calibration is available. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest PCM calibration.
