13. Remove and discard the studs
14. Remove the engine timing cover and the engine timing cover gasket. Discard the gasket.
15. Clean the mating surfaces on the oil pan and the cylinder block. Use Metal Surface Cleaner F4AZ-19A536-RA or equivalent meeting Ford
specification WSE-M5B392-A
NOTE: When cleaning, use care to prevent debris from falling into the oil pan.
