Front Engine Plate: Service and Repair
Installation
1. Install the engine timing cover.

Apply a bead of Silicone Gasket and Sealant F6AZ-19562-AA or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSE-M4G323-A6 at the oil pan to
block seam.

Install the engine timing cover gasket.

Apply a second bead of sealant along the edge of the engine timing cover gasket at the oil pan-to-block seam.

Apply a bead of sealant on the oil pan flange.

Install the engine timing cover. Position the lower edge of the cover on the oil pan and tip upward into position
NOTE: If the oil pan and rear oil seal are not installed within seven minutes, remove sealant and reapply.
2. Install the new studs. The correct stud will be supplied with pre-applied Loctite. Make sure the Loctite end of the stud is installed in the engine.
3. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner.
