Front Door Latch: Service and Repair
Single Door Latch
REMOVAL
1. Remove the door trim panel and watershield.
2. Front door: remove the latch remote control.
3. Side hinged or rear door: remove the retaining nuts, inside handle and bezel.
4. Drill out the power door lock actuator rivet, if so equipped.
5. Front and side hinged doors: disconnect the lock cylinder rod from the lock cylinder lever.
6. Front and side hinged doors: disconnect the outside door handle-to-latch rod at the door latch.
