6. Install the brake shoe retracting spring.
7. Install the hub assembly.
8. Use Brake Adjusting Gauge to measure the inside diameter of the drum portion of the rear brake disc.
9. Use Brake Adjusting Gauge to set the rear brake shoe and lining diameter to 0.5 mm (0.02 inch) less than the inside diameter of the drum portion
of the brake disc.
10. Install the brake disc.
11. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
12. NOTE: Only apply parking brake one time.
Burnish the parking brake shoe and linings.
1. Accelerate the vehicle to 40 km/h (25 mph).
2. Shift the transmission to NEUTRAL.
3. Slowly apply the parking brake control to approximately one-half to three-quarters of its travel.
4. Allow the vehicle to come to a complete stop.
5. Release the parking brake.
13. Check the operation of the parking brake.
