Econoline E150 1/2 Ton V8-5.4L SOHC VIN L (1999)
5. Remove the converter housing access plug.
6. Remove the torque converter drain plug and drain the torque converter.

Rotate the crankshaft to access the drain plug.
7. Clean and inspect the (A) transmission fluid pan, the (B)pan gasket and the (C) magnet.
8. Flush the cooler, and cooler lines.
9. Flush the torque converter.
Installation
1. NOTE: A new torque converter drain plug must be installed.
Install the new torque converter drain plug.
