5. Lock the parking brake.
6. For E-450 only, remove the coupling shaft bolts from the parking brake assembly by removing the four U-joint retainer bolts.
7. NOTE: If the output flange on the parking brake assembly needs to be installed new, refer to Brakes and Traction Control.
Separate the coupling shaft from the parking brake assembly.
Installation
1. Position the driveshaft, using the index-marks.
2. Install the U-joint caps and bolts.

Release the parking brake.
