Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

WARNING:  FUEL IN THE FUEL SYSTEM REMAINS UNDER HIGH PRESSURE EVEN WHEN THE ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING. 

1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Relieve the fuel pressure.
4. Remove the fuel pressure regulator.

Remove the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.

-

Remove the two fuel pressure regulator screws.

-

Remove the fuel pressure regulator.

-

Remove and discard the two fuel pressure regulator O-rings and the fuel pressure regulator return seal.

INSTALLATION 

1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

NOTE:  Lubricate the new O-rings with engine oil.
