3. Push the flanged end of the axle shaft toward the center of the rear axle and install the u-washer. Pull the flanged end outward until the u-washer
locks into the differential side gear.
4. Install the differential pinion shaft.
NOTE: Make sure the differential pinion shaft lock pin hole on the differential pinion shaft is lined up with the differential pinion shaft lock pin
hole in the differential case. Correctly position the differential pinion thrust washers.
5. Install the new differential pinion shaft lock bolt.

Align the hole in the differential pinion shaft with the screw hole in the differential case.
NOTE: Make sure the threads in the differential case and on the differential pinion shaft lock bolt are free of dirt and oil.
