Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Rear
Anchor Plate
Removal
1. Remove the brake pads.
2. Remove the anchor plate bolts and remove the rear disc brake caliper anchor plate.
Installation
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
Disassembly and Assembly
Disassembly
1. Remove the disc brake caliper.
2. Drain the remaining brake fluid from the disc brake caliper.
3. Apply low air pressure to the fluid port in the disc brake caliper.
1. Place a block of wood between the caliper bridge and the caliper pistons.
2. Apply low air pressure to the fluid port in the disc brake calipers and force out the caliper pistons to the block of wood.
3. Remove the block of wood and the caliper pistons.
