On 4.6L engines, tighten both fittings starting at the top in two stages.

Stage 1: Hand-tighten.

Stage 2: Tighten to 35-45 Nm (26-33 ft. lbs.).

On 5.4L engines, tighten both fittings starting at the top in two stages.

Stage 1: Hand-tighten.

Stage 2: Tighten to 55-65 Nm (41-47 ft. lbs.).
6. Position the brake booster vacuum hose bracket and install the nut.
7. Install the front fender splash shield.
8. On 4x4 vehicles, install the front wheel opening moulding.
9. Lower the vehicle.
