Rocker Arm Assembly: Service and Repair
Rocker Arm Cover, Rocker Arm and Push Rod-Left
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the engine cover.
4. Remove the intake duct tube assembly bolts and the clamps at the air cleaner. Remove the air inlet duct tube assembly.
5. Remove the oil fill tube.
6. Remove the intake duct bracket and retaining nuts.
7. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the valve cover gasket.
8. Remove the ten valve cover bolts and the valve cover.
9. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors and glow plugs.
1O. Remove the rocker arm cover gasket.
11. Remove the 16 rocker arm bolts, the eight rocker arm assemblies, and the push rods.
