3. Snap the retaining clip over the rocker arm pedestal groove.
4. Lubricate the push rod ends with engine oil and install the push rod, copper end up.
5. Rotate the engine until the mark on the crankshaft damper is at 11 o'clock, to prevent damage when installing the intake rocker arms and exhaust
rocker arms.
CAUTION: Make sure to follow the next step of this procedure to prevent bent valves.
6. Install the eight push rods, the eight rocker arms and the 16 rocker arm bolts.
7. Install the valve cover gasket.
8. Connect the electrical connectors to the fuel injectors and glow plugs.
9. Connect the two engine harness electrical connectors to the valve cover gasket.
10. Install the valve cover, the resonator mounting bracket and the 10 retaining bolts.
11. Install the engine oil level indicator tube retaining screw at the tube mounting bracket.
12. Install the air cleaner assembly.
13. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
14. Start the engine and check for leaks.
15. Install the engine cover.
