Axle Beam: Service and Repair
Front Axle
Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the disc brake caliper and front disc brake hub and rotor assembly.
4. Remove the front disc brake rotor shield.
5. Remove the cotter pin and the castellated nut, using the Pitman Arm Puller disconnect the tie rod end.
6. Remove the cotter pin and the lower ball joint nut. Discard the cotter pin.
