Sliding Door Latch: Adjustments
LATCH ADJUSTMENT - SLIDING DOOR
Door Latch Cable Adjusting Tool
SPECIAL TOOL(S)
1. NOTE: This adjustment is used to set up the inside and outside handle travel when opening the sliding door. This procedure must be performed
when the latch remote control is replaced or when the door cannot be opened due to insufficient handle travel to open the door.
Remove the sliding door trim panel and watershield.
2. Loosen the latch cable adjusting bolt.
3. WARNING: A spacer block is required for proper adjustment of the latch lever to its correct position. Any adjustment without the use
of this spacer block is not recommended because the rear latch lever could be incorrectly positioned, which could cause a hazard during
normal operation of the vehicle.
Insert the Door Latch Cable Adjusting Tool in the rear latch between the cable ferrule and the latch, with the latch installed in the door.
