Hood Latch: Service and Repair

LATCH - HOOD

REMOVAL

Diesel Engine

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Position the air cleaner assembly aside.

Remove the hose clamp.

Remove the screws.

Position the air cleaner assembly aside.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

All Vehicles

3. Remove the pin-type retainers and remove the radiator grille sight shield.

4. Remove the hood latch.

Remove the bolts.

Remove the retaining screw and disconnect the cable.

3

Remove the hood latch.

INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

-

Lower the hood to check hood latch alignment.
