Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
NOTE:

Installation of a new suction accumulator/drier is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of
system contamination from failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator/drier.

If an A/C condenser core leak is suspected, the A/C condenser core must be leak-tested before it is removed from the vehicle.
1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Remove the engine air cleaner and outlet tubes.
3. Remove the air deflector.

Remove the five retaining pins.

Remove the air deflector.
4. Disconnect the condenser core refrigerant lines.

Disconnect the compressor discharge line.

Disconnect the condenser to evaporator tube.
CAUTION: Use a wrench on each side of the fitting to prevent damage to the A/C fitting.
5. Remove the two upper radiator mounting brackets.

Remove the screws.

Remove the upper radiator mounting brackets.
6. Move the radiator back to gain access.
CAUTION: Do not damage the cooling fins while handling the radiator.
