9. Install the new water pump inlet tube into the water pump housing.
10. Install the thermostat housing.

Lubricate the thermostat housing 0-ring with clean engine coolant.

Install the thermostat housing and 3 housing bolts. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

Install the coolant hoses to the thermostat housing EXCEPT for the heater core inlet and outlet hoses See Figure 2.
PRE-RINSE
NOTE:
The pinch-off pliers are used to control the direction of fluids in certain areas of the cooling system They are also used for optimum cleaning and to
prevent air from entering Into the cooling system.
11. If the water pump inlet tube was NOT replaced disconnect both the heater core inlet and outlet hoses from the thermostat housing. See Figure 4.
12. Remove the 2 thermostat housing cover bolts and remove the thermostat.
