V13 VERIFY VEHICLE EQUIPMENT - SASM

Inspect the vehicle for an SASM.
-
Is the vehicle equipped with an SASM?
Yes
GO to V14.
No
GO to V15.

V14 CHECK FOR RESTORED NETWORK COMMUNICATION WITH THE SASM DISABLED
-
Disconnect: SJB Fuse 34 (5A).
-
Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.
-
Repeat the network test.
-
Do all other modules pass the network test?
Yes
INSTALL the removed fuse. Go To Pinpoint Test G. See: Pinpoint Test G: The Steering Angle Sensor Module (SASM) Does Not Respond To The
Scan Tool
No
INSTALL the removed fuse. GO to V11.

V15 CHECK FOR RESTORED NETWORK COMMUNICATION WITH THE RCM AND THE OCSM DISABLED

Disconnect: SJB Fuse 46 (7.5A).

Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

Repeat the network test.
-
Do all other modules pass the network test?
Yes
INSTALL the removed fuse. GO to V16.
No
INSTALL the removed fuse. GO to V17.

V16 CHECK FOR RESTORED NETWORK COMMUNICATION WITH THE RCM DISCONNECTED

Disconnect: RCM C310b.

Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Network Test.

Repeat the network test.

Do all other modules pass the network test?
Yes
CONNECT the RCM. Go To Pinpoint Test C. See: Pinpoint Test C: The Restraints Control Module (RCM) Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool
