WARNING: Before working on or disconnecting any of the fuel tubes or fuel system components, relieve the fuel system pressure to prevent
accidental spraying of fuel. Fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure, even when the engine is not running. Failure to follow this
instruction may result in serious personal injury.
WARNING: When handling fuel, always observe fuel handling precautions and be prepared in the event of fuel spillage. Spilled fuel may be
ignited by hot vehicle components or other ignition sources. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
WARNING: Always disconnect the battery ground cable at the battery when working on an evaporative emission (EVAP) system or
fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in
serious personal injury.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Release the fuel system pressure.
3. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
4. NOTE: The fuel tubes may contain residual fuel after releasing the fuel system pressure. Carefully drain into a suitable container.
Disconnect the fuel supply tube-to-fuel rail quick connect coupling.
5. Disconnect the fuel supply tube-to-fuel tube quick connect coupling.
6. Release the retainer clip and remove the fuel supply tube.
7. Remove the 3 bolts, pin-type retainer and the EVAP shield.
8. Release the clip, disconnect from the EVAP canister and remove the fuel vapor tube.
9. Disconnect the fuel vapor tube-to-EVAP canister purge valve quick connect coupling.
10. Disconnect the fuel vapor tube-to-EVAP canister quick connect coupling.
11. Disconnect the fuel tank jumper tube-to-fuel tube quick connect coupling.
12. Remove the 2 nuts, release the 6 bundle retainer clips and remove the fuel and vapor tube bundle assembly.
13. Remove the rear seat.
14. Remove the 4 bolts and the FP module access cover.
15. Disconnect the fuel tank jumper tube-to-FP module quick connect coupling.
16. Release the retainer clip and remove the fuel tank jumper tube.
17. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
