Escape 4WD V6-3.0L VIN 1 (2005)
4. Using the special tool, separate the halfshaft from the rear axle hub assembly.
5. CAUTION: Do not damage the oil seal protector when removing the axle halfshaft from the differential.
Using the special tool, remove the halfshaft.
Installation
1. CAUTION: Make sure that the oil seal protector is properly aligned with the differential oil seal during installation.
Using the special tool, install the halfshaft into the differential.
2. If the axle is equipped with the oil seal protector, make sure the oil seal lip and seal protector are correctly aligned.
