Cruise Control Servo Cable: Service and Repair
SPEED CONTROL CABLE
REMOVAL
Vehicles equipped with 2.0L Zetec engine
1. Disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle control linkage and bracket.
Vehicles equipped with 3.0L (4V) engine
2. Disconnect the speed Control cable from the throttle control linkage and bracket.

Disconnect the cable from the throttle control linkage.

Squeeze the tabs and disconnect the speed control cable from the bracket
All vehicles
3. Release the speed control cable cap.

Depress the speed control cable cap retaining tab.

Rotate the speed control cable cap.
