Power Steering Fluid Cooler: Service and Repair

Power Steering Fluid Cooler 

Removal and Installation 

1. Disconnect the hose from the power steering fluid reservoir.

Vehicles built before 10/1/2003 

2. Disconnect the power steering cooler hose.

Vehicles built after 10/1/2003 

3. Release the clamp and remove the power steering fluid return hose.
4. Remove the power steering fluid cooler bracket nuts.

All Vehicles
5. Remove the front bumper cover. 

4. Remove the bolts and the power steering fluid cooler.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill, bleed and leak check the power steering system.
