Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair
Guidelines
Replace the suction accumulator/drier when:
^
The suction accumulator/drier is restricted plugged, or perforated.
^
The refrigerant system has been left open for more than four hours or completely discharged for 24 hours or more.
^
There is evidence of moisture in the system (for example, internal corrosion of metal lines or dark, thick refrigerant oil).
^
A component such as an A/C condenser core, evaporator, A/C compressor, or refrigerant line is replaced.
