Clutch Pedal Position Switch: Description and Operation
Clutch Engagement Switch (CES)
The Clutch Pedal Position Switch detects clutch engagement and sends an input signal to the PCM. The PCM uses this input to determine engine load.
Adjustments to air/fuel mixture, idle speed, ignition timing, fuel pressure, purge flow and A/C cutoff are made accordingly. PCM uses this input as a
factor in determining engine load.
