DIAGNOSING WATER LEAKS

Water leak concerns are often misleading. The spot where the water shows up is not always the location of the trouble. So, do not always rely on the
service order, or even the customer, to pinpoint the actual leak area. Their description of the water leak will reflect only where the water is noticeable,
not necessarily where the cause is located.

When attempting to identify a water leak location, proceed as follows:

1.

Apply water at the lowest point in the leak area, Figure 1.

2.

Slowly move upward, applying water until it is seen running into the car.
