1.
Raise and support vehicle, then remove rear wheel assembly.
2.
If necessary, remove screw plug, then turn adjustment gear counterclockwise with allen wrench to pull the piston fully inward, Fig. 31.
3.
Remove caliper lower lock bolt.
4.
Using a screwdriver, pivot caliper on its mounting bracket to access brake pads as shown in Fig. 32. If upper lock bolt requires lubrication or
service, remove and suspend caliper using wire or equivalent.
5.
Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Lubricate caliper lock bolt, then torque to 33-43 ft. lbs.
b. If necessary, turn adjustment gear clockwise with allen wrench until brake pads just touch rotor, then loosen gear 1/3 of a turn. Install screw
plug, then torque to 9-12 ft. lbs.
