Using a screwdriver, open the link retainer on the A/C damper door crank arm to release the heater/air door link, Figure 1.

Pull the threaded portion of the heater/air door link out of the retainer.

Press the heater/defroster door clockwise against the heater air flow opening inside the heater case. While maintaining moderate pressure on the

Place the heater air door link back into the link retainer.
