Installation
1.
Install exhaust flange gasket.
2.
Position catalytic converter assembly in vehicle.
3.
Install bolt retaining catalytic converter assembly to the support bracket. Tighten to 20.3-28.5 N-m (15-21 Lb.Ft).
4.
For 1988 vehicles, install spring on exhaust flange retaining bolt.
5.
Loosely install spring and bolt assembly.
6.
Install ground strap.
7.
Lower vehicle.
8.
Install nuts retaining catalytic converter assembly to the exhaust manifold. Tighten to 34-47 N-m (25-35 Lb.Ft).
9.
Install air cleaner inlet tube.
10.
Raise vehicle and align exhaust system. Tighten exhaust flange bolts to 28-40 N-m (20.5-29.5 Lb.Ft).
11.
Lower Vehicle.
