Vertical Windshield Weatherstrip/Moulding - Loose
WINDSHIELD - WEATHERSTRIP/MOULDING ASSEMBLY BECOMES DISLODGED - VEHICLES BUILT AT WAYNE ASSEMBLY PLANT

ISSUE:
The vertical portion of the windshield weatherstrip/moulding may come loose from the glass. This occurs because of inadequate urethane
retention of the weatherstrip/moulding to the windshield.
ACTION:
Install a new windshield weatherstrip/moulding assembly. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
1. Remove the windshield weatherstrip/moulding from the vehicle without removing the windshield.
a. Pull the loose weatherstrip away from the glass.
b. If required, cut underneath the weatherstrip/moulding to release it from the urethane expulsion surrounding the glass.
NOTE: OBTAIN NEW WEATHERSTRIP/MOULDING ONLY IF PART REMOVED FROM VEHICLE IS DAMAGED.

2. Rework the weatherstrip/moulding as shown in Figure 1.
a. Cut off the lower leg of the channel.
b. Remove existing adhesive from the channel.
c. Prime the weatherstrip/moulding with ESB-M2G291-A contained in the kit.
