Idle Speed: Adjustments
Fast Idle Speed
4-116 W/740 CARBURETOR
1.
Place transmission in Neutral or Park.
2.
Start and allow engine to reach normal operating temperature.
3.
Disconnect EGR vacuum hose and plug.
4.
Place fast idle screw on the second highest step of fast idle cam, then run engine until cooling fan comes on. Cooling fan must be ON when
checking fast idle RPM.
5.
Check fast idle speed. If fast idle speed is not as specified, turn fast idle speed screw until specified speed is obtained.
