NOTE:
Break off 1/4" diameter vacuum port from the existing intake manifold fining to allow removal without interference with or damage to
the coolant bypass hose. Torque the new fitting to 7-12 ft.lbs. Maintain the original part alignment for purge valve and main vacuum
system.
NOTE:
Use sealer on fitting threads.

7. Refer to Figure 3. Remove and discard the hoses in the crankcase vent system from the intake manifold fitting to HIC valve and from crankcase vent
valve (sometimes called the "PCV") to air cleaner (including the vent valve).
NOTE:
Retain the HIC valve and the attached short hose.

8. Refer to Figure 4. Replace the hoses and valves discarded in Step # 7 with the new hose and valve assemblies provided in kit. Reconnect crankcase
vent hose assembly to the 1/4" port at end of intake manifold fitting and to the air cleaner. Trim the 1/4" hose to air cleaner if required.
9. Reconnect all vacuum hoses to the intake manifold fitting.
10. Reinstall anti-stall dashpot mounting bracket and check dashpot specification clearance. (Refer to Vehicle Emission Control Information [VECI]
decal).
11. Replace the delay valve removed in Step # 2 with a straight vacuum line connector provided in kit.
12. Reinstall air cleaner to carburetor.
