Thoroughly coat the monitor electrical connector with an ample amount of Ford Electrical Grease to protect against water intrusion. See Figure 5.

Connect both harness connectors to the monitor. Then, thoroughly coat the wires/cavity entrances (at the back of the connectors) with an ample
amount of Ford Electrical Grease to protect against water intrusion. See Figure 6.
11.
Install the control box side covers and secure with push pins.
12.
Install the push pins to secure the shift console panel.
13.
Connect the battery negative cable and close the hood.
14.
Turn the ignition switch from the OFF to the RUN position and visually monitor the air bag indicator. The air bag indicator should light
continuously for approximately six seconds and then turn off. If an air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) fault is present, the air bag
indicator will either:

fail to light.

remain lit continuously.

flash.
