Evaporative Fuel Vapor Return Hose: Service and Repair
Fuel Vapor Control Valve Tube Assembly
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
CAUTION: Do not remove the evaporative emission hoses from the assembly as damage may occur to the valve or the fittings. The fuel vapor
control valve and hoses are repaired as an assembly only.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive
strategy.
2. Disconnect and remove the fuel vapor control valve tube assembly at the fuel tank by disconnecting the fuel vapor control valve tube at the inline
tee and from the fuel filler pipe.
3. Remove the fuel vapor control valve tube assembly.

Remove the bolts for the LH fuel tank strap.

Remove the fuel vapor control valve tube assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Carry out the Evaporative Emission Running Loss Monitor Repair Verification Drive Cycle.
