Fuel Tank Unit: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
WARNING: DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY AN OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY
FUEL-RELATED COMPONENTS. DO NOT WORK ON FUEL-RELATED COMPONENTS WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT.
LEAKING FUEL MAY CONTACT HOT ENGINE COMPONENTS AND BE IGNITED, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE PERSONAL
INJURY.
2. Relieve the fuel pressure.
3. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
4. Disconnect the two fuel delivery module electrical connectors.
5. Remove the four fuel delivery module access cover screws and remove the fuel delivery module access cover.
6. Remove the fuel line clip and disconnect the fuel line.
