Standard size pistons and rings are color coded red or blue and oversize pistons and rings have .004 OS stamped on their dome. Piston to bore
clearance should be .0012---.0020 in. on 1982 models and .0018---.0026 in. on except 1982 models. Measure cylinder bore and select a piston to ensure
proper clearance. When the piston to bore clearance is in the lower {1-3} of the specified range, a red piston should be used; in the middle {1-3} range a
blue piston should be used and in the upper {1-3} range a .004 OS piston should be used. Piston pins are not available in oversize.
