WARNING:

could create liability under applicable federal or local laws.
Remove the air inlet tube from the throttle body and inspect the interior of the throttle body. If an oil buildup is evident remove the air bypass valve from
the throttle body.
PROCEDURE
Clean the throttle body (on engine) by spraying Automatic Choke Cleaner S8AZ-19A501-A into the air inlet, then drying thoroughly with shop air. Clean
the air bypass valve separately as follows:
1.
Remove the electrical solenoid assembly from the mechanical portion of the air bypass valve by removing the two screws, then sliding the
mechanical portion away from the solenoid.
2.
Soak the mechanical portion in Carburetor and Combustion Chamber Cleaner D9AZ-19579-B for 2 to 3 minutes maximum.
NOTE:
Do not exceed 3 minutes soak time, as an internal "O" Ring may begin to deteriorate.
NOTE:
Do not use choke cleaner, as it will deteriorate the "O" Ring.
3.
With the mechanical portion completely submerged, shake in all directions - up, down, right and left.
4.
Push in on the rod that mates with the solenoid assembly, and repeat step 3 with the rod held in as far as possible.
5.
Remove the body from the cleaning fluid and dry out thoroughly using shop air.
Reassemble the units and reset idle to specification if necessary.
