Engine ignition crossfire has been identified in an operating range of 2000-3000 RPM with 2-8 psi boost. The crossfire which exhibits itself as a "miss",
can range from light to severe. The area can be driven through with no crossfiring but sustained driving in this mode will bring about the concern.

The corrective action is to remove and discard the distributor cap boot and reroute the ignition wires within the combs. (See Figure 25). Note that the 4
position floating comb (first comb from the distributor cap) has been discarded. The No. 1 wire has also been rerouted as it leaves the distributor cap, as
well as the coil wire.
